i was still scared but dared to remove the blanket from over my face and once again stared at that corner... it was too dark to be able to see anything clearly... i felt someone is still standing there.. surely none of my family members as there is no reason for them to stand in a corner like a thief.. but no.. wait, it must not be a thief. At least in that particular room no thief can enter due to the geography of that room.. moreover the house was not so big that a sleeping person would not realize such an activity at any corner of the house.. and here it is inside my room itself. My mom was sleeping by my side. Dad was out of station for some official tour..
so what was that... i was still scared when i suddenly found that, that figure is moving from its place towards the exit. I though of waking mom up but then don't know why didn't do. I wanted to know if that figure has really left the room or is still inside. But i didn't want to move my head much, i was so scared after all... it was a winter night and i was already wet with sweat.. being nervous!

And suddenly two hands from behind caught my neck and will all its force tried to strangulate. for first two seconds i didn't even make a sound and made a firm attempt to loosen its grip but they seemed so unnaturally powerful that my efforts did not even bother it. I now started to shout .. "Mummy, Mummy, Mummy .... Maa.." but the force of those hands were increasing constantly and i wasn't able to produce a voice loud enough... At the same time i was surprised my Mom who was sleeping just beside me didn't wake up yet. It seemed really impossible to me because even if you just enter a room where she is sleeping, she immediately wakes up. No matter how carefully you put down your steps to avoid any sound. It seems she gets some sort of signal even if you don't produce a sound. And right now, when so many things are happening she isn't disturbed at all?!!!!

And suddenly the grip loosened.. i immediately turned my head to see if anyone was really there but couldn't see any. Then my attention went to the window... it seemed that a vehicle was backing up and its headlights' lights fell on the curtains... i felt someone was really inside the room and has just left the place... but when i got up from the bed to check the main door, it was still firmly bolted.

I was terribly scared and confused. I came back to my bed once again.
"Mummy" [and this time in a real low voice.]
"What happened?" [Mom asked. Well, this time she woke up immediately. I was confused even more. Why didn't she got up when i was shouting like hell?]
"No, Nothing. Just like that. Sleep."

Huffffff... how could i sleep peacefully after that. I was all awake all that night. I didn't want to believe that it was a dream. because if it was a dream then probably i was still dreaming. If it wasn't then why didn't i realize that the dream has ended. You never know that you are in dreams when you really are in. But when you come back to real, you surely know that it was a dream. I had never seen or heard a transition like this where one travels from dream to real without even realizing the difference.

It still remains a mystery to me. The scariest night of my life yet.
